COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility extended to over 50s

If you are 50 years old and over, you are now eligible to get the Covid-19 vaccine at Darcy Road Surgery.

National Cabinet agreed to better utilise available AstraZeneca doses by bringing forward access for Phase 2a eligible individuals aged 50 to 69 years commencing on 3rd of May 2021.

On 22 April 2021 the Australian Government announced the recalibrated delivery model for the COVID-19 Vaccination Rollout Strategy, as agreed by National Cabinet and developed in response to the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation’s (ATAGI) recommendation that Pfizer be the preferred COVID-19 vaccine for individuals aged under 50 years.
